This 1.5 million-acre wetland is made up of grassy, slow-moving water, marshes and growth, and is the perfect opportunity for you to witness some amazing nature and wildlife in their own environment. A must-trip for anyone who is interested in this sort of thing.

Maybe you like to hike and wonder if Florida has any great locations to do this. You would be right in thinking so. With more than 5000 hiking trails spanning two time zones, there is something that would suit all ages and abilities. One location to consider would be the Ocala National Forest.

Fort Lauderdale is a quiet location but is certainly worth a visit if you wanted to see a different side of Florida. 

The Florida Keys

The Florida Keys are a string of tropical islands and they stretch around 120 miles long. They are well-known to be a destination for fishing, snorkelling and scuba diving. 

Key West

Key West is one of the Southern islands and it is an island city. It is a popular location that has some incredible restaurants and bars and is a popular stop if you plan on visiting The Florida Keys. 

Anna Maria Island

Anna Maria Island is a barrier island on Florida’s gulf coast. It is most well-known for its beautiful beaches and slow-paced vibe. It has a small area that is perfect for visitors where you can sample wonderful restaurants and enjoy the atmosphere of the island. A great location that is very different from Orlando and Miami. 

Sarasota

If you were wanting culture and a chance to experience some incredible museums then Sarasota is the place to visit. It is a city south of Tampa, and it has some incredible beaches for you to enjoy.
