Some say it is better to leave your car unlocked and empty to avoid someone breaking the lock to find out if there is something inside. While at the beach, do not go into the water and leave valuables on the shore unattended. They may not be there for long. Vieques is beautiful. Do not become so enchanted with the surroundings and become a victim of theft through carelessness.
